Customers can bring business and political pressure. This guide explains the faction names present in the demo and the broader reputation system described by the official listing.

This page uses text found in the installed game files and checks the broader game description against the official Steam demo page. The game files show what an item or guide says; they do not prove that every customer behaves the same way.

Customer decisions

PropertyRecorded value
Choices at the counterThe official listing describes four responses to a customer or deal: approve it, refuse it, report it, or look away. It says people are paying attention to these choices.

Reputation

PropertyRecorded value
Reputation has a trade-offThe listing says reputation can buy access and protection, while also making you a more visible target. It does not provide a numerical reputation scale or thresholds.
How trades feed into reputationTrades can change the reputation of the customer's faction. The game considers the trade value, original value, whether you are buying or selling, the item, and customer-specific modifiers. A customer can have one reputation multiplier for selling and another for buying; if a separate one is not set, the customer’s default multiplier is used. Perks and item traits can also affect the result, so the same price does not always give the same reputation change.

Customer examples

PropertyRecorded value
Examples of customers with an agendaThe listing gives examples: a Security customer looking for evidence, a revolutionary seeking leverage, and a fallen elite testing your usefulness. These are examples from the broader game description, not a complete demo roster.

Demo content

PropertyRecorded value
Group names found in the demoThe installed demo includes Black Market, Cartel, Church, Lower Level, Revolution, Security, Tourist, and Upper Level. A name alone does not establish a customer’s behavior or whether a particular deal is safe.
